Lichfield Leisure Leagues football round-up

The Lichfield Sunday six-a-side Premier and First Division, demonstrated just how competitive they are as not one side has managed to win back to back games after the first two sets of fixtures.

Ice Pack are the early leaders of the Premier Division, but they were held by Your MA, in a 2-2 draw, with their opponents now occupying second spot.

FC Licho got off the mark, but also had to settle for a point as Jim Gardner starred in their 1-1 draw with Barmy Army Tage.

Rugeley FC are the second tier’s pacesetters, but fired blanks against Boley Explosion as neither side could break the deadlock in a goalless draw.

The brand new season in the Monday Premier Division saw Boley Park Academy kick off with a crushing 4-0 victory over reigning champions Monkeys Punk, whilst Plough & Harrow FC were 2-0 victors against Colin Lee’s Adopted Sons.

Lichfield Crown closed the gap at the top of the Tuesday league as they saw off the challenge of K.E.D in a 4-2 victory.

The result proved to be significant as early pacesetters Sporting were held to a 1-1 draw by Big Dawgs FC.

FC No Chance moved to within a point of the leaders also, as they edged past Bayern Neverlosin, 2-1. Rugeley FC also picked up a narrow victory, 1-0 over Pathetic Athletic.
