The Land Rover stolen in Burntwood
Police are appealing for help in tracking down thieves who stole a restored Land Rover from outside a house in Burntwood. The 1995 Land Rover County had been restored to its former glory and taken to car shows around the country by its proud owner. But after parking it on a driveway in Hanney Hay Road, Burntwood, on November 24, the blue Land Rover was taken by thieves who are thought to have towed it away during the night. Although 15 years, the vehicle had been painstakingly restored to its original condition and is worth around £8,000. Anyone with information about the theft, or the whereabouts of the vehicle, is asked to contact PC Gerard Burge at Chasetown Police Station, telephone 0300 123 44 55 or, call Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
