A Burntwood optician is keeping it in the family after securing a management job with a Midlands firm.
Chris Masters is to start work for Colin Lee Opticians – the family firm which already employs his mum Gay – following the retirement of their current Aldridge practise manager at the end of December.
The 28-year-old, who will take over the role of practise manager and dispensing optician, has been employed by Malcolm Gray Opticians in Mere Green for the last five years, but is now ready for a new challenge.
Clive Marchant, director of Colin Lee Opticians, which has seven sites across the Midlands, said:
“We already know Chris, through his mum Gay, who works at our Burntwood branch, and have watched his career develop with interest.
“We are thrilled he is joining us, and hope that he will enjoy a long and successful career with us, offering the first rate service our patients have come to expect.”
He takes over from retiring manager, Jonathan Preston, who has been with the company for a quarter of a century.
