Lichfield Leisure Leagues football round-up

Gash Wanderers are handily placed in third spot in the Lichfield Sunday six-a-side league after beating Barmy Army Tage 3-0, but Norfolk stay top after sneaking home by the odd goal in three against Ice Pack.

The Galacticos moved up to third after seeing off YMA – who drop to mid table – 2-0, while FC Licho lost by the same score to Bassets Allsorts and remain deep in trouble.

Games were very tight in division one, with no less than three ending 1-0, as first leaders Rugeley FC beat Clifton Rovers, Mean Machine edged Hexis FC Legends, and Gumtree ended on the winning side of the mid-table clash with Real Sosobad.

Boley Park Academy made it five wins out of five for the new Monday Premier Division campaign with their thrilling 4-3 victory over Old Heads this week, whilst Monkey’s Punk kept up the pressure with a regulation 3-0 success over Family United FC, thanks to Gary Brown.

Banana Grove are nicely perched in third spot of Division One following their 4-2 victory over Six On Legs, as Andrew Lane starred, and there were 2-1 wins for both Barmy Army Tage and Street Strikers over Dad’s Army and England Youth respectively.

Rugeley FC belied their lower half position in the Tuesday league with their 5-0 demolition of Bayern Neverlosin, whilst LED are third following a 3-2 victory over Big Dawgs FC.

There were 2-0 wins this week for both FC No Chance and leaders Lichfield Crown against Sporting Lisbon and Pathetic Athletic respectively.
