Edward Fox
Edward Fox

Acclaimed actor Edward Fox takes on the mantle of one of the nation’s best-loved writers in an intimate one-man show at the Lichfield Garrick.

Anthony Trollope’s novels, written in the middle of the 19th Century and set mainly in his imaginary county of Barsetshire, portray a well-observed ironic and human picture of Victorian life.

And Edward Fox will be providing a dramatic insight into the literary giant’s life, portraying the great novelist through extracts from his best-known works interspersed with accounts from his autobiography.

Nearly 150 years on Trollope’s works continue to astonish with their insight into human behaviour still recognisable today. Among the characters that Edward brings to life are The Warden Septimus Harding, Dr Grantly, The Bishop and Mrs Proudie, and the famous hypocrite Mr Obadiah Slope!

Edward Fox will be at the Lichfield Garrick on February 4 at 7.30pm. To book tickets online visit www.lichfieldgarrick.com, or call the Garrick’s box office on 01543 412121.
