Lichfield Leisure Leagues football round-up

Dan Challis was again in fine form for Lichfield six-a-side Sunday Premier Division leaders Norfolk , as they comfortably brushed past Bassetts Allsorts, 5-0.

The Galacticos have dropped to third spot after being held to a 1-1 draw by FC Licho, Jimmy Hill in fine form for the latter.

Rugeley Hexis are looking like strong candidates for promotion from the First Division, as they eased past the challenge of Balboa’s Boys, 3-0. The win was to prove even more significant as second place Boley Explosion went down 3-2 to Mean Machine.

There were 2-0 wins in the Monday Premier Division for both PES United and Boley Park Academy over Old Heads and Taste The Beast respectively.

Banana Grove of Division One also put two past Norfolk without reply, whilst Street Strikers claimed a 3-1 success over Friary Sharks.

Lichfield Crown sit firmly at the head of the Tuesday league as they moved clear at the summit with a narrow 2-1 defeat of Big Dawgs FC.

The win was to prove significant, as second place FC No Chance suffered a setback, going down 2-0 to Rugeley FC. Sporting picked up maximum points with a victory by the same score-line against Pathetic Athletic, whilst basement boys Bayern Neverlosin were unlucky to go down 1-0 to K.E.D.
