A teenage girl has been injured after being hit by a car in Burntwood. West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to St Matthews Road shortly before 10pm last night (February 7). An incident support officer in a rapid response vehicle and two ambulance crews attended. A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said:
“Crews arrived to find a girl who had been involved in a collision with a car. She had a serious thigh injury. She was immobilised with the use of a spinal board and neck collar and was given pain relief at the scene. “She was then taken to Good Hope Hospital for further assessment and treatment. The occupants of the car were checked over at the scene and did not require further treatment.”
