Lichfield Cathedral’s congregation are set to be joined by a special guest as part of a service to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Lang Silver Commission.

Former Dean, John Lang will be joined with five of the silversmiths who produced items on February 14.

The celebration will start at 10.30am with everyone invited to join the congregation for Eucharist service.  After the service refreshments will be served and visitors will have the opportunity view the exhibition of commissioned drawings that are on display.

From 12.15pm until 1pm the silversmiths will be stationed with their commission at various points around the cathedral floor and people will be given the opportunity to hear them interpret their work.

A spokesperson for Lichfield Cathedral said:

“We hope people will be able to join us to celebrate this exceptional and glorious work.”
