Lichfield Leisure Leagues football round-up



Norfolk all but sealed the Lichfield Sunday six-a-side Premier Division as they battled to a 3-1 defeat of Barmy Army Tage to remain four points clear with just two games remaining.

The Galacticos are doing everything they can to push the leaders all they way as they eased past Gash Wanderers 3-0, and subsequently secured at least runners up spot with the win.

It is a much tighter affair in the First Division as Rugeley Hexis lead the way following a narrow 1-0 defeat of Real Sosobad. Boley Explosion stated their intentions to push the table toppers all the way as they secured maximum points with a 2-1 win over Clifton Rovers.

Elsewhere, Gumtree piled more misery on bottom side Hexis Legends FC, easing to a 3-0 victory.

Boley Park Academy moved three points clear at the top of the Monday Premier Division with a 4-2 success over Plough & Harrow FC, whilst Family United FC sneaked through 1-0 against Colin Lee’s Adopted Sons.

England Youth are very much still in with a shout of the Division One title as they eased through 4-0 against Norfolk,  as leaders Street Strikers were held 0-0 by Six On Legs.

The brand new season in the Tuesday league saw KED claim an impressive 5-1 victory over The Feathers, going one better than Rugeley Hexis, who saw off 4-0 Bayern Neverlosin easily in a 4-0 win.

Sporting Lisbon were 2-0 winners over FC No Chance, and reigning champions Lichfield Crown sneaked to a 2-1 victory against Pathetic Athletic.
