Guitarist Joscho Stephan is returning to Lichfield on the back of a hugely successful debut concert in the city last year.
Renowned across the world, having shared stages with such players as Tommy Emmanuel, Paquito D’Rivera, James Carter, Charlie Mariano and Grady Tate, as well as performing at many of the world’s biggest music festivals, Joscho will play Holy Cross Hall on March 20 at 8pm.
His music may be deeply rooted in the Gypsy Jazz tradition made famous by such musicians as Stephane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt, but his influences include swing and latin jazz.
Lichfield Arts Director Brian Pretty said:
“Joscho Stephan’s first performance at the Guildhall last year was simply brilliant, we simply just had to bring him back – we had been overwhelmed with requests.
“He is being widely tipped as a name to watch in the guitar world and with his talented trio this will be a night of high quality acoustic music. “’
