A programme to upgrade PCs at libraries in Lichfield and Burntwood has been completed.

Staffordshire County Council’s replacement project – which began in 2008 – has seen more than 5,000 computers replaced and new machines installed at 43 libraries across the country.

County Councillor Ben Adams, Cabinet Member for Communities and Culture, said:

“Ensuring our library customers are happy with the service they are being provided is extremely important. The new equipment which has been installed will enable those who may not have a computer at home, or just wish to work in a more relaxed atmosphere access to new, helpful technology.”

This is great news. There is nothing worse than going into a library where the equipment is outdated.
