Lichfield Leisure Leagues football round-up

Stonn All Stars could be forgiven for feeling a bit light headed after they suffered a 3-0 reverse against Lichfield Sunday six-a-side leaders Norfolk, as Dan Challis was the poison in their side, putting in a fine performance for the table toppers.

The result means Norfolk have clinched the title with a game to spare. The Galacticos tried to push them all the way with a 2-0 defeat of Bassetts Allstars, but have the consolation of qualification for the national tournament.

Ram Sitchards are up into third after comfortably seeing off the challenge of Ice Pack 4-1. Barmy Army Tage got a massive maximum point haul at the bottom end of the division, massively boosting their survival chances whilst condemning FC Licho to relegation in a 3-1 win.

Rugeley Hexis secured the First Division title as they edged to a 2-0 defeat of Boley Explosion in the top of the table clash. Boley however, have taken the second promotion spot.

Boley Park Academy remain three points clear at the top of the Monday Premier Division after they eased through 4-0 against PES United, but Monkey’s Punk remain hot on their heels as they saw off Plough & Harrow FC via the same scoreline.

Barmy Army Tage’s 3-2 victory over Banana Grove in Division One keeps their promotion hopes alive as they lie two points from second spot.

Pathetic Athletic got off the mark for the new Tuesday league with their comfortable 4-1 victory over Bayer Neverlosin, who are yet to pick up a point this season.

The Feathers also picked up their first points of the season after a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Rugeley Hexis.
