Burntwood RUFC number eight Ryan Percox inspired his side to a 19-7 win over Wolverhampton 19-7 at The Sportsway.

The hosts took the game to the visitors and quickly went ahead with a try by Mason from a quickly-taken tapped penalty.

Wolverhampton hit back with a strong drive down their left wing which led to a converted try.

Captain Rob Jones featured in the next attack and just when the visitors thought they had escaped, winger Swinney intercepted to run in unopposed to the posts. Dunet converted.

In the second period, Burntwood survived sustained pressure in their own 22 before gradually working their way downfield into the Wolverhampton 22. Close-quarter play by the forwards allowed Percox to round off a good performance with a well-deserved try. Dunet converted to leave the U15s coaching team delighted.
