Witnesses are being urged to come forward after a crash in Chasetown left a 20-year-old woman dead.

Lucy-Anne Wright, a former pupil at Chase Terrace High School, died after the accident at the junction of Chase Road and Travellers Close on March 9.

The collision crash happened shortly before midnight when the blue Peugeot 306 she was driving left the road and collided with a parked vehicle and a lamp-post.

Police investigating the accident are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the blue Peugeot before the collision, to come forward. In particular, they are keen to speak to anyone who saw the car being driven along Hospital Road and then Chase Road prior to the accident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant Nigel Roberts on 0300 123 44 55.
