Lichfield Britain’s Got Talent star Shaun Smith is set to make a homecoming appearance at the Garrick theatre.
Shaun will team up with namesake and fellow finalist Julian Smith for the concert on July 1.
The show was announced as the Lichfield Garrick lifted the lid on new events added to their spring season.
Actor Clive Mantle and comic Ruby Wax are also being served up at the city’s theatre.
Adrian Jackson, the Garrick’s Artistic Director, said:
“We’re delighted to be able to add these three fantastic shows to our already popular season at the Garrick. This season has been a huge success with many of our performances selling out. These shows are a great addition to our very varied line up.”
Former Holby City, Casualty and The Vicar of Dibley actor Clive Mantle will star in Jus’ Like That – A night out with Tommy Cooper on June 1.
Jus’ Like That brings Tommy Cooper back to life with all the familiar trademarks – the fez, the laugh and the magic.
Ruby Wax – Losing It? is at the Garrick on June 2. A spokesperson for the show said:
“Ruby’s acerbic wit and worldly wisdom combined with Judith Owen’s touching and poignant songs create a show that is at once vulnerable and surprisingly thought-provoking as well as being laugh-out-loud funny.”
