Youngsters are being given the chance to get creative over the Easter holidays at Chasewater Innovation Centre.

A range of events and activities have been planned to keep young minds occupied.

Visitors to the centre can create brand new outfits for their teddy bears from 1pm to 4pm on April 6, while on April 8 they can let their imaginations run wild in a K-Nex robot war workshop from 2pm to 4pm.

Young people will be encouraged to get their hands dirty between 1pm and 4pm on April 9 when they can take part in a Potty about Easter session. Mini beast madness will be taking over the innovation centre on April 12 when children can create their own creepy crawlies out of felt. A trio of hour long sessions will take place at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

County Councillor Mike Maryon, Cabinet member for Environment, said:

“The team at Chasewater has really pushed the boat out to put on activities that will appeal to youngsters. There is plenty to going on, from art and crafts to robot wars, there will be no need for boredom to creep in this Easter holiday.”

Other events include an ‘arty party’ to keep boredom at bay every day from April 13 to April 18, and a choice of marbling, painting and crafts from 10am to midday and then from 1pm to 3pm.

Booking is essential for all of the workshops and costs £2 per child. Age restrictions apply to the sessions. For more information call Chasewater Innovation Centre on 01543 370737.
