The brand new season in the Lichfield Sunday six-a-side Leisure Leagues Premier Divisions saw last season’s runners-up The Galacticos claim a 3-0 success over Stonn All Stars.

Last season’s champions were shocked on the opening day by Rugeley Hexis, who sneaked through 2-1 in their clash with Norfolk.

Mean Machine got off to a fine start in Division One as they cruised through 5-1 against Balboa’s Boys, and FC Licho were 2-1 winners against Clifton Rovers.

Having already sealed the Monday Premier Division title last week, Boley Park Academy could be forgiven for letting their foot off the gas, as they went down to Colin Lees Adopted Son’s 1-0.

Monkey’s Punk clinched runners up spot as they eased to a 4-0 win over PES United. Plough & Harrow had to settle for third place despite a 5-2 victory over Taste The Beast.

England Youth pipped Street Strikers to the post and clinched the First Division title following a 3-0 defeat of Dad’s Army, whilst Strikers suffered a 1-0 reverse against Banana Grove. Both will be playing top flight football next season.

Rugeley Hexis are only a point shy of the summit in the Tuesday league after their 3-0 success over Pathetic Athletic.

KED are top on goal difference after a 2-1 win over Lichfield Crown, and The Feathers shared a 2-2 draw with Sporting Lisbon.
