Lichfield City FC boss Dean Gilbert is hoping for a Happy Easter in a bid to maintain his team’s promotion charge.

After recording three consecutive victories, City currently occupy second place in the Midland Combination Second Division table.

They entertain Perrywood at Brownsfield Park on Saturday before travelling to Hampton on Bank Holiday Monday and Gilbert is hoping that, with the backing of the people of Lichfield, City’s winning streak can continue.

He said:

“We’ve got some big games on the horizon. Perrywood won’t be easy and Hampton away on Monday is a very tough game. We still have to play Feckenham and a few other teams in and around us, so it will be an exciting end to the season.

“I’ve been delighted with the support we’ve been getting of late though. It was great to see so many faces at Brownsfield Park last Saturday and I’m sure they all enjoyed the game and saw the lads produce a great performance.

“I hope they continue to support the lads because there are sure to be more good times ahead.”

Kick-off at Brownsfield Park is 3.00pm on Saturday (April 3) and 3pm on Bank Holiday Monday at Hampton.
