CBBC presenter Barney Harwood is set to star in the Lichfield Garrick’s production of Peter Pan.

The BAFTA-winning TV star will appear in the city from December 2 to January 9.

Youngsters will know te presenter for his roles on CBBC’s Prank Patrol, Bear Behaving Badly, Bamzooki and Barney’s Barrier Reef.  He is currently working on a new series of Saturday Swap Shop with Basil Brush which is due to be aired soon.

“Peter Pan is going to be the most spectacular production the Lichfield Garrick has ever staged and I’m absolutely delighted Barney Harwood has agreed to play Peter Pan.  Barney is one of CBBC’s most talented presenters and will thrill our younger audience and their parents!”

Barney Harwood’s father Barnaby will also be making a welcome return to the Garrick. The father and son duo will tread the boards together for the first time, with Barnaby playing the role of Smee, Captain Hook’s faithful side-kick. Another Lichfield Garrick favourite Ian Adams will join the duo to play the role of the evil Captain Hook.
