Sportsco 2 Shenstone Pathfinder FC Reserves 1

Shenstone Pathfinder were left regretting missed chances and negative tactics after their 12th league defeat of the season.

Shenstone dominated the first half and created plenty of chances with one or two players guilty of finding the back of the net.

The second half started much the same until Tim Travers was felled in the box on the 75th minute which Richard Lees stepped up to convert the resulting penalty.

With Pathfinder holding on to a slim lead a couple of defensive changes seemed to work against them as Sportsco soon grabbed the equaliser after their big forward got on the end of a free kick to make it 1-1.

Within a few minutes Pathfinder were 2-1 down after the defence failed to get goal side of the Sportsco striker who was left to slot home past keeper Cal Heanan.

Shenstone pushed forward in the dying seconds and Dan Chattwood was unlucky not to seal the draw after his close range effort hit the bar and bounced back off the goal line.

On Thursday (April 8) Pathfinder take on top of the league Shelfield Rangers (kick-off 6.15pm) at Shelfield Sports & Community College.
