Chasetown FC sports therapist Emma Archer has completed a charity run – and is set to follow it with another three!
Despite having sprained her ankle a couple of weeks prior to the Sutton Coldfield Seven Pools 10K run, she clocked a respectable time of 58 minutes and 6 seconds.
But the hard work doesn’t stop there as she faces another 10K run and two half marathons before the end of the year as she bids to raise money for Chasetown’s Sports Therapy/Physio Fund and the British Heart Foundation.
“I’m aiming to raise as much money as possible for Chasetown’s Physio Fund – we need as much funding as possible to be able to treat and give as much support to the players at the club no matter the degree of injury. I’m also running for the British Heart Foundation which I’m sure many people are familiar with and in memory of David Wood.”
If you would like to sponsor Emma, you can donate online at www.justgiving.com/emma-archer.
Her next races will be the Aldridge 10K run on June 13, the Birmingham and Black Country Half Marathon on July 7 and the Birmingham Half Marathon in October.
