Lichfield singer Shaun Smith has made it through to the semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent.
His place in the live televised shows was confirmed this evening when he beat off a host of other acts to move a step closer to the Royal Variety Performance.
Shaun shot to national fame on the show after wowing judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan with his rendition of the Bill Withers classic Ain’t No Sunshine.
But he’ll now have to recreate his winning performance live in front of millions of TV viewers if he is to succeed dancer George Sampson as the Britain’s Got Talent champion.
