Lichfield Leisure Leagues football round-up

Bassetts Allstars

Bassetts Allstars

Bassetts Allstars have leapt to the summit of the Lichfield Sunday Premier Division as they saw off the challenge of Rugeley Hexis 3-0.

The Galacticos are up into second as they battled to a 2-0 defeat of Ice Pack, whilst last weeks table toppers Ram Sitchards have plummeted to third after a 1-0 reverse against Stonn All Stars, Steve Allen starring for the victors.

Who likes a draw? Well it was a field day in Division One as every game ended in a stalemate. The fixtures between, Mean Machine and Clifton Rangers, Gumtree FC against Barmy Army Tage, and FC Licho versus Hexis FC Legends all ended in 1-1 draws, whilst neither Real Sosobad and Balboa’s Boys could break the deadlock as it ended goalless.

Old Heads are sitting pretty at the summit of the Monday Premier Division, preserving their perfect start with a 1-0 defeat of Plough & Harrow FC.

Boley Park Academy are up into second spot, remaining unbeaten as they edged past Family United by two goals to one. Monkeys Punk were the nights biggest winners as they eased to a 4-0 win over Street Strikers.

Colin Lees Adopted Son still boast a 100 per cent record at the summit of Division One as they edged past Banana Grove 1-0. Friary Sharks finally got off the mark as they saw off the challenge of Dads Army, 2-0.

Lichfield Crown gained top spot in the Tuesday league as they eased to a 7-1 defeat of Pathetic Athletic.

K.E.D are piling on the pressure as they edged to a 4-3 win over The Feathers, whilst Rugeley did enough to overcome Bayern Neverlosin by two goals to nil.
