Lichfield Cathedral is gearing up for its new concert season. Kicking off on April 27 with a concert by Assistant Organist Cathy Lamb, the series will also give audiences the chance to see Martin Baker, Master of Music at Westminster Cathedral, on May 11. Cathy will be performing personal favourites, including works by Bach, Handel and Liszt, while Martin will showcaseworks by Beethoven and Liszt as part of The Improviser’s Art. Next up on June 8 will be Philip Scriven, Organist and Master of Choristers at Lichfield Cathedral, performing And All That Jazz, which features works by Bernstein, Gershwin and Planyavasky.
