Work has begun to remove fish from Chasewater. The fish are being removed to as part of the scheme to drain the reservoir and allow for repairs to the dam. Roach, perch, pike and bull heads were caught as part of the first stage of the removal, which saw a sample of fish caught to confirm they are healthy. The operation is expected to continue over the coming days. You can keep upto date with the fish rescue and dam repair work on Lichfield District Council’s Chasewater blog.
