Two men are being questioned by police after cigarettes were stolen from a Lichfield petrol station.

The pair, aged 38 and 29 and both from the Wolverhampton area, were arrested just an hour after the break-in at the Tesco garage in Church Street, Lichfield. The raid took place shortly before 2.30am today (May 6).

The men are believed to have been in a group of four who escaped in an Audi vehicle.

The two were arrested by officers in the West Mercia police area at around 3.30am and are now being questioned by officers.
