Ram Stichards are now five points clear at the top of the table in the Lichfield Sunday 6-a-side football league after they beat Bassett’s Allsorts 6-2 while nearest challengers Norfolk were toppled by the odd goal in five against The Galacticos. Hexis FC Legends moved away from the basement in division one by hammering Barmy Army Tage – who drop to the bottom – 4-1, while Clifton Rovers and Balboa’s Boys shared a classic encounter which ended 3-3.
Things were tight in the Monday night as mid-table duo Family United and Plough and Harrow both won 1-0 against Old Heads and Street Strikers respectively. In division one leaders Norfolk and second placed TTB showed just why they are doing so well – Norfolk winning 5-1 against Lichfield Unathletic and TTB in fine fettle as they eased Banana Grove 3-1.
There were plenty of goals in the Tuesday night league with Lichfield Crown and Rugeley Hexis both securing 4-0 win, while KED went one better and thumped Bayer Neverlosin for five without reply.
Finally Sporting saw off Pathetic Athletic 3-0 in the pick of the other games.
