Lichfield Friary Tennis Club to hold open day

With Wimbledon just around the corner, Lichfield Friary Tennis Club is offering people the chance to try the sport.

The club will be holding an open day on Sunday (June 13) from 9.30am to 2.30pm as part of National Tennis Day.

There will be free coaching for youngsters and competitions, activities and demonstrations for adults throughout the day plus refreshments.

The event schedule is:

  • 9.30-10.30am – School Years 1-4
  • 11.00-noon – School Years 5-8
  • 12.30-2.30pm – Free adult coaching, demonstrations and activities.

Achim Kreuser, Club Chairman said:

“It’s a great opportunity for new players, especially youngsters to have a go. During the day there will be lots of free activities especially designed for new members.  There is ample free parking and we particularly welcome families wanting to have a go.”
