Chance for artists to exhibit work at Lichfield festival

FuseLogo[1] (3)Artists are being invited to showcase their work at a festival in Lichfield.

The Fuse Festival – which takes place in Beacon Park from July 9 to 11 – will again feature Art in the Tent as well as other activities for visitors to get involved in.

Art in the Tent began last year by Neil Davies, Lichfield Arts president, who died recently. This year Celia Houghton, Lichfield District Council Arts Development Officer, has taken up the organisation of the exhibition.

Fuse Director, Tim Perks said:

“The organising team for Fuse are delighted that Celia’s involvement will mean the art exhibition can go ahead again this year. It is something Neil was passionate about and it is a great tribute to all his hard work.”

Artists will be able to have hanging space within a designated area in a marquee for a small fee and will be asked to pay a commission charge on any works sold. For further information contact Celia Houghton on 01543 308224 or

Other visual arts activities at Fuse will include the chance to have a go at making a Sock Monkeyor helping to create three giant dancing figures which will be displayed at the main entrance into the Fuse site.
