Burntwood Leisure Leagues football round-up

Goals were at a premium in the Burntwood Sunday six-a-side football league but Pelsall Predators managed to move second with a 3-0 victory over Norton Athletic.

Young Guns and Attack of the Clowns finished honours even at 1-1, but both sides remain in the upper echelons. In division one there was more goal action, with both Not So Pro and One Hit Wonders winning 4-1 against GGU16 and Burntwood 6 respectively, while ABCDEFC stay top with a 2-0 cruise over White Horse.

Bottom FC made it seven points from seven games in the Burntwood Monday 6 a side Premier league as they dismissed Real Brownhills 3-0, while single goals were enough for The Barns to beat Beercelona and Burntwood AFC to sneak past FC Catalonia.

The Drop Outs have a commanding league in division one and showed just why as they beat Mean Machine 6-0, while Young Guns nearly matched that goalscoring effort and cruised home against ABCDEFC 4-0.

Top of the table Yew Tree and high-fliers Werder Barman both won 2-1 in division two, while Burntwood Villa’s 5-1 crushing of Day Release FC created the headlines elsewhere. The Students and Jay moved away from the basement in division three with a resounding 4-0 victory over Bobby Dazzlers, while Team Salad will be hoping their 3-1 victory over Senseless heralds a return to form.
