Lichfield Leisure Leagues football round-up

Ram Stichards wrapped up the league title in the Lichfield Sunday six-a-side league after a 1-1 draw with Norfolk, who are still very much favourites for second place.

The Galacticos keep the pressure on after seeing off The Solados 4-1, while Gumtree FC eased out FC Licho 3-1 to hang on to their chances.

Gumtree FC blew the division one title race wide open after beating last weeks leaders FC Licho 3-1. Mean Machine were able to take full advantage and their 2-1 victory over Barmy Army Tage moves them to the summit, while the same score was enough for Balboas Boys to edge out Hexis FC Legends.

England Youth are still at the wrong end of the Lichfield Monday 6-a-side league and are slipping closer to the trapdoor after losing 2-1 to Family United FC.

The most impressive win elsewhere belonged to Boley Park Academy, who saw off Plough and Harrow 3-0 and remain very much in the championship shake up. Friary Sharks had their shooting boots well and truly laced in division one and dismissed Lichfield Unathletic 10-0. Banana Grove finally hit form and triumphed 4-1 over Dads Army.

BD are the only side with a 100 per cent record in the Lichfield Tuesday league with three wins – and underlined their class with a 4-0 victory over The Feathers.

Pathetic Athletic might be mis-named, as they beat Bayern Neverlosin 3-0 and Lichfield Crown finally got off the mark for the campaign with a 1-0 squeak past Sporting.
