Youngsters from two school in Lichfield have taken to the stage for a one-off performance in front of parents and specially invited guests.
Charnwood Primary School and Rocklands School pupils took to Lichfield Garrick’s main stage to perform Look At Me, featuring special songs and dances around the themes of friendship, tolerance, and being the best that you can be
Both schools worked alongside a creative team from the theatre for the last six months to come up with their production.
Louise Glynn, Lichfield Garrick’s Dancer in Residence, said:
“This project has given the pupils from both schools the chance to learn together and make new friends. It also allowed them to explore their creative sides and gain confidence through being on stage. The performance went really well, and I am very proud of all the pupils for putting their hearts into it.”
Cllr Barry Diggle, Chairman of Lichfield District Council, added:
“I thoroughly enjoyed the performance. There was a lot of talent on display, and a big well done must go to all the performers, teachers, and the team at the Lichfield Garrick for putting on such a fabulous show.”
