Richard Crosse Primary School students past and present came together to put on all elements of the concert, including felt flags and coloured flowers to decorate their stage at Kings Bromley Cricket Club.

A spokesperson said:

“Songs were sung with gusto by children of all ages including nursery aged youngsters, through to ex-pupils who are now enjoying post-16 and University studies. It was fantastic that they wanted to come back and share their talents and inspire the young people currently at the school.

“Some current and former pupils also demonstrated their instrumental talents with keyboard, violin, trumpet, cornet, clarinet, flute and saxophone playing that delighted all who were they to enjoy their picnic and the sunshine during this fabulous community event.”

The children were also given a helping hand by artistic director Clare Wade and Peter Gilbert, a retired set builder who has worked with the likes of Kylie Minogue.
