Chance for people to go behind the scenes at Lichfield Police Station

People in Lichfield are being invited to learn more about their local police force at an open day event.

Visitors to Lichfied Police Station on Frog Lane on July 17 will be able to sit in the driving seat of a police car, have a tour of the cells and have their fingerprints taken.

They will also get the chance to meet their neighbourhood officer and talk over any issues with them.

Sergeant Rich Morris, from Lichfield Police, said:

“Open days usually prove very popular with the public and we’re hoping for a great turn-out. These events give people a genuine insight into what happens on a daily basis in a police station.  It’s also a great opportunity for residents to come and get to know their local officers and ask any questions they may have.”

The event runs from 11am to 4pm.

They had the trust/respect of 95% of the plebs and blew it – why?

A few years ago this building was deemed suitable/fit for demolition.
What has been done to this building to change its status from “demolish” to “showplace”?
