Burntwood Leisure Leagues football round-up

Heavyweights saw off Young Guns 3-0 in perhaps the pick of the games in the Burntwood six-a-side Sunday league.

But 1-0 was a popular score elsewhere, with leaders Predators beating Fortress, while FC Laser and Attack of the Clowns beat MOB United and Fortress respectively.

One Hit Wanderers sit just off the pace in division one after thrashing White Horse 4-0, while Burntwood 6 edged out Warriors 2-1 to move comfortably into mid-table. Finally Kings of Zimbabwe and Aspen Arrows drew 3-3 – a result that did neither side any favours in the title race, but the game provided fine entertainment.

Mid-table Burntwood AFC upset the formbook in the Monday night Premier League and turned over high fliers Burntwood AFC 5-0 and FC Clayhanger moved into an imposing position at the summit after beating second placed side Beercelona 2-0.

Young Guns created the headlines in division one, crushing Burntwood Monsters 18-0, while Real Playaz saw off Burntwood Boys 5-3.

In division two Burntwood Villa helped themselves to an impressive 4-0 victory over Big Macs to maintain their promotion challenge and mid-table duo Day Release and FC Sporting played out a predictable 1-1 draw. Shire Oak Villa blew the division three title race wide open after easing out leaders Underdogs FC 2-0 Inter beat Senseless by the same score and move away from the basement
