Police appeal after farming equipment is stolen in Abbots Bromley

Police are appealing for witnesses after a trailer containing valuable farming equipment was stolen near Lichfield.

The offenders broke into containers in Ashbrook Lane, Abbots Bromley between 8pm on July 13 and 7am on July 14.

They stole a 12ft Ifor Williams livestock trailer, a red 420 Honda quad bike, two red Honda generators, a weed sprayer, an orange Stihl saw, a yellow DeWalt cordless drill, and a green/grey case containing a grey Makita drill and 20 drill bits.

PC Josie Shepherd said:

“We are keen to speak to anyone who saw the offenders’ vehicle prior to the burglary, or afterwards when it would have been towing the trailer. The trailer’s tyres were partially inflated, so the offenders may’ve taken it to a local garage to pump them up shortly after the crime.

“We also want to speak to anyone who has been offered the stolen items for sale.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Shepherd on 0300 123 4455 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 333 111. The incident number is 144 of 14 July.
