A Lichfield leisure centre has won an award for its support to the community.

The Lichfield Chamber of Trade and Commerce Awards gave the prize to Friary Grange Leisure Centre.

Councillor Val Richards, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Leisure Services, said:

“This is the third time Friary Grange Leisure Centre has won this award, which goes to show that we have remained committed to supporting our community into leisure opportunities.

“We’re all delighted as these awards are especially meaningful as they are voted for by Lichfield district’s residents and visitors. Thank you to everyone who voted for us, and a big well done must go to the leisure team.”

Esporta was highly commended, while Lichfield Heritage Centre was commended.
