Lichfield Leisure Leagues football round-up

Norfolk are beginning to look like a formidable force in the Lichfield six-a-side Sunday Premier Division as they made it three wins out of three with a 6-0 thumping of Essentials.

Ram Sitchards also boast a perfect start as they edged to a 2-1 win over Bassetts Allsorts.

Gumtree FC flying start to the First Division continued, but they were made to work hard for their latest maximum point haul which came in a 1-0 win over Boley Explosion.

Monkey’s Punk FC could be forgiven for letting their foot of the gas in the Lichfield Monday Premier Division having wrapped up the title last week, and were held to a 2-2 draw by England Youth on the final night.

Boley Park Academy have gained qualification for the coveted Leisure Leagues National Tournament as they wrapped up second spot with a 1-0 win over Street Strikers.

Norfolk will be joining Colin Lee’s Adopted Sons in the top flight next season, finishing runners up in Division One, despite being playing out a 1-1 stalemate with Banana Grove.

There was a surprise in the Tuesday league, as FC No Chance inflicted the first defeat of the campaign on leaders B Deep with a 1-0 win.

The stand out performance of the night came as Lichfield Crown thumped The Feathers 4-0.
