A scheme that helps people on low incomes improve their homes is being supported in Lichfield.

The KickStart home repair scheme visited Lichfield’s Market Square to tell local residents about the service on offer.

The scheme is available to homeowners whose household income is no more than £27,200 a year or who are aged over 60.

Councillor Ian Pritchard, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing, Health and Environmental Protection, said:

“Many people across the region have already been able to carry out essential works to their homes with the help of this scheme. I am delighted that Lichfield district residents, who may need extra help to afford home improvements, will be able to get impartial expert help, and access approved contractors and low risk loans.”
