Burntwood Leisure Leagues football round-up

FC Firm sit just off the pace in the Burntwood six-a-side Sunday league as they beat Brian Blessed Hawkmen 5-1, while mid-table Heavyweights eased out Norton Athletic 4-0 to re-ignite their challenge for the top places.

A uniform look to the scores in division one, with leaders Not So Pro and high-flying Scholars FC both winning 3-2 against The Untouchables and Burntwood 6 respectively. Kings of Zimbabwe beat White Horse 2-0 and the same score was enough for One Hit Wanderers against Warriors.

Real Brownhills are still bottom of the table in the Monday league, but won’t be for much longer if they carry on the form they showed in a 6-0 hammering of Lad FC.

Leaders AFC Clayhanger remain top, but their title hopes took a slight dent after draw with Burntwood AFC as four goals were shared. It was a similar story in division one, with The Drop Outs showing their class in a 6-0 crushing of The Brownhills 6 and Mean Machine going one better as they humbled Burntwood Monsters.

erhaps the pick of the performances, though, saw The Burntwood Boys ease their relegation fears with a 4-0 cruise over ABCDEFC.

Yet another massive win in division two as Burntwood Villa beat Streetly Rovers 7-0. Games were tighter elsewhere, but Big Macs survival hopes are hanging by a thread after Day Release beat them 2-0.

In the race to avoid the wooden spoon in division three its very much as you were as Bobby Dazzlers drew 1-1 with Athletico Thistle but still stay above Inter, who were held 0-0 by Shelfield United.
