Youngsters in Burntwood will be able to make a real splash after a local leisure centre added sea scooters to its party line-up.

The hand-held machines that zoom party-goers up and down Burntwood Leisure Centre’s pool have been introduced.

Paul Watson, manager of Burntwood Leisure Centre, said:

“We have an exciting mix of children’s parties, including pool, art, inflatable and sports parties. These are all great fun, but we wanted to offer more choice for slightly older thrill-seeking children.

“We’ve tested out the sea scooters and they’re brilliant. As they are something most people won’t have tried before, they are sure to be really popular with party goers.”

The one hour party includes training on the sea scooters by a qualified instructor, who will also lead games and supervise the session in the pool.

Sea scooter parties can be booked on Saturdays, from 3pm to 4pm. The parties are for up to 12 people (aged 10 years and up), and costs £120, which includes instruction and games in the water.
