Shenstone Pathfinder FC 5 Bridgnorth Town FC Reserves 2

Shenstone Pathfinder FC made it back to back wins and moved up to fifth in the table with an excellent home win against a good Bridgnorth Town FC Reserve side.

Playing with the wind in the first half Bridgnorth were the better side early on and played the ball around nicely, but as the half wore on Pathfinder came more into the game.

Tim Travers opened the scoring with a right foot shot from the edge of the box and Jay Dinham made it 2-0 to Pathfinder soon after with a fine strike.

At the back Adam Lightfoot stood out like a beacon for the home side with his excellent defending and superb passing from the defensive line. However, Bridgnorth grabbed a goal before the break to make the half time score 2-1.

The second half saw Pathfinder playing some good football and with manager Chris Whitehouse making some tactcal changes the hosts raced into a 4-1 lead with another goal from Travers and a header from Andy Baldwin.

Bridgnorth kept battling throughout and scored an excellent goal after a lovely left wing cross to make the score 4-2 before substitute Michael Mayo finished off the scoring with a spectacular volley to make it 5-2.
