Table-topping test up next for Shenstone Pathfinder FC

Shenstone Pathfinder FC manager Chris Whitehouse is warning his players that their strong start to the season will face its toughest test next time out.

A 5-2 win over Bridgnorth Town Reserves has put Pathfinder in good spirits – but with table-topping Warstones up next, their boss admits they will get an early test of their credentials.

But with confidence in the camp, Whitehouse doesn’t feel his players will be phased by the challenge ahead of them.

He said:

“It’s great to get off to a good start and we deserved the win against Bridgnorth Town Reserves. Next week will be a big test for us with Warstones top of the league.

“But we will go there with confidence and feel we can compete.”

And club secretary Gary Cantelo paid tribute to the manager after the club’s strong start to the season.

He added:

“I know it’s only the third game of the season, but this is the highest position the club has ever been in. It’s a credit to Chris and all the players not only this season but over the last few seasons when we have battled to stay in this league, now we can look at establishing ourselves in the top half.”
