Burntwood Leisure Leagues football round-up

FC Firm sit just off the pace in the Burntwood Sunday six-a-side football league after beating Pelsall Predators 4-1.

Mid-table PSV Hangover were one of two 3-1 victors, beating The Drogs Ballacks, while Brian Blessed’s Hawkmen lost by the same margin and stay at the bottom of the table.

One Hit Wonders still fancy their chances in the division one promotion race and eased out Kings of Zimbabwe 3-0.

Warriors will be looking to move off the bottom after they sneaked home by the odd goal in three against Not So Pro and The Untouchables lost 4-1 to leaders Aspen Arrows.

Plenty of goals around in the Monday league, with both Burntwood AFC and leaders AFC Clayhanger winning 4-0 and a pair of 3-0 scorelines as Bottom FC saw off Real Brownhills and Definatelymaybe won against Athletico Chasetown.

Real Playaz will be playing top level football next season and showed just why as they humbled Burntwood Monsters 12-0 in the pick of the games in division one. Burntwood VI eased their relegation worries as they saw off Brownhills 6-0 5-0 and ABCDEFC remain deep in trouble after losing 3-0 to Young Guns.

Deportivo closed the gap on the top two in division two after beating Werder Barman 2-0, while Team Tek saw their hopes take a knock after they could only draw 1-1 with Streetly Rangers.

The Students and Jay beat Bobby Dazzlers 4-0 and still harbour promotion hopes in division three and whilst struggling Green FC will no doubt be happy to upset the formbook against high-flying Shire Oak Villa, their 2-2 draw is unlikely to help them much in the quest to avoid the drop.
