A Chase Terrace headteacher has put his school’s record sixth form exam results down to a “great community spirit”.

The comments come from Dr Stuart Jones after students at Chase Terrace Technology College posted the best results the school has seen.

He added:

“There is a great community spirit in the Sixth Form here and I’m really pleased for the students and the staff who have worked so hard to support them.”

Among the star performers were Chris Sutton who gained four A* grades and two B grades and will now go on to study maths at University College London.

Other students achieving two or more A* or A grades in full A levels were Mark Tarplee, Thomas Crisp, Emily Burns, Charlotte Fowler-Parkes, Nathan Dudley, Georgia Greenwood, Natalie Jones, Andrew Podalaka, Catherine Knight and Stephanie Sharratt.
