Chasetown FC have been boosted that Gavin Saunders will be fit to face Halifax Town.

The Scholars midfielder was a doubt for the game after sustaining a head injury in bizarre circumstances during the defeat against Marine during the week.

Saunders had to be substituted during the fixture after colliding with the referee.

But the midfield man has now been passed fit to face former Football League club Halifax at the Scholars Ground tomorrow (August 28th), kick-off 3pm.

The Shaymen have picked up four points from their two league games so far, but striker Jamie Vardy could miss out on the trip to Chasetown after limping off in their midweek draw with Frickley.

With a large crowd expected for the fixture, the Chasetown FC website is giving fans details of parking availability and restrictions around the ground.
