Three people taken to hospital after Lichfield crash

Three people have been taken to hospital after a crash in Lichfield.

The accident happened at 8am this morning (September 13) at the junction of the A38 and the A5148.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said:

“On arrival at the scene crews found three cars and a lorry that had been in collision. The driver of the lorry, a man in his late thirties, was treated at the scene for a pelvic injury. He was immobilised using a spinal board and neck collar before being airlifted to University Hospital of North Staffordshire for further assessment and treatment.

“A woman and man, both car drivers, were treated at the scene for neck and back pain. Both patients were immobilised before being taken to Good Hope Hospital , via land ambulance. A third driver, a man, was also treated for a shoulder injury and was discharged at the scene.”
