The Lichfield Literature event is aiming to give youngsters in the city a chance to get their noses into a good book.
The Lichfield Festival and Lichfield Library have teamed up for a Big Read, which will follow on from an event in July which saw free copies of RJ Ellory’s book Ghostheart being handed out.
Philippa Fisher’s Fairy Godsister is the book that has been chosen for the event and its author, Liz Kessler, will be Lichfield Literature’s author in residence.
Free copies of the book are available at Lichfield Library and the Lichfield Festival office and Liz will be at the library on October 9 for the finale of the event.
Tickets for her appearance are free, but must be booked at either the Lichfield Festival office at 7 The Close, Lichfield, or by calling 01543 306270.
Liz will also be holding a Creative Writing event for budding writers on the evening of October 7. How To Get Published and Write For Children is aimed at budding writers of all ages. Tickets are £2.
