Chasetown welcomed back Natasha Whitehouse, Sinead Treanor and Jade Arber to the squad and put in a much improved performance against Coseley Town, especially in the second half.

The Scholars created a couple of chances in the opening exchanges but it was Coseley who took the lead. An excellent cross from the right was headed into the roof of the net for a 1-0 lead.

Chasetown were playing against the wind  and 1-0 down at half time would have been a decent scoreline, but lapses in concentration allowed Coseley to score two good goals from distance late in the half. The first was a 35 yard strike that got caught by the wind and drifted into the top corner. It was swiftly followed by a good shot from the edge of the Chasetown penalty area.

The home side put in a much better second half performance and needed to score much earlier than they did to build up a head of steam.

Chasetown did create the chances but found the Coseley keeper in good form or the ball was blocked on the line.

Eventually, through some trickery on the goal line by Jodie Kinsey, the ball was squared for Stephanie Powell to tap in her first goal for the club in the 75th minute.

Ten minutes later Treanor got her first goal of the season following a good through ball by Player of the Match Abi Picken.
