Boss wants to see more belief from Shenstone Pathfinder FC

Manager Chris Whitehouse believes his Shenstone Pathfinder FC players are only a whisker away from rattling the cages of the top sides in the table.

Pathfinder were beaten 3-2 by Sporting Khalsa on Saturday (September 18), but the result could easily have been different had Seb Finkle not seen his effort cleared off the line in the second half.

But Whitehouse refused to be too downbeat despite his side’s defeat.

The Shenstone boss said:

“We have lost to another team who are unbeaten and near the top of the league, but again we could have got something. We are very close to being able to upset the teams near the top and I think it’s just a bit of belief.

“It was a mad ten minutes against Sporting Khalsa that cost us – without that I firmly believe we would have won the game.”

Pathfinder will have a chance to bounce back when they take on Penncroft next Saturday (September 25) at Aldersley Stadium, kick off 3pm.
